The 2005 Harrison Classic was another great event, both in terms of the athletic accomplishments of the
kids involved and the great volunteers on hand to make sure all went well. We can't forget the
excellent weather either! It was photographed again this year by Jim Larson and
Scott Rasmussen from IdahoSportsPics.com. We had
a great time photographing these young athletes. My favorite quote of the day was from a boy
who was running with his friend near the back of the race. As soon as he spotted the finish line
he turned to his friend and excitedly said, "Hey, I think we are leading the race!" In their
eyes they were. It made my day to see such enthusiasm.
We tried our best to capture everyone, but I'm sure we missed a few, so our apologies ahead of
time. We posted the photos by gender and bib number. There may be a few girls that got put in
with the boys and vice versa, so check both places if you can't find your athlete. Links to the photos
are at the bottom of this page.
We also tried something new at the finish line with some "remote" cameras. It was an experiment
that I think will work well in the future with some different camera angles.
Only about 25% of the kids were
captured at the finish line using these extra cameras.
